80s Canadian Fireman Jacket

US$575.00

Crafted in a densely saturated yellow cotton twill. The shell quality is two-layers with a bonded flannel finish nomex backing. The corduroy collar is in Navy so are the striped ribbed cuffs. There are two two-inch wide reflective stripe tapes below the chest and at hem.

Charming workwear silhouette with raglan sleeves. The front closure system is interesting. ALYX also must’ve found this trim inspiring having appropriated the closure as an expression of the brand. We understand - it does look original.

Originally the garment comes with a detachable melton wool liner. We tried wearing it with the liner- it’s too heavy and impractical to wear in daily life. Even with out the liner this beast weighs around 6 lbs.

We reworked the melton liners- unpicked all of the velcro and cut pockets from another re-work of Canadian coveralls to create a novel cardigan/kimono-type garment. Check Look 11.

Measurements:
Chest pit to pit: 25"
Length: 33 1/2"
Sleeve: 36 1/4" (taken from center back to sleeve hem)
Hem: 25 3/4”
